Inspired by Mesoamerican step-pyramids, ITZINA draws its name from the Mayan temples at Chichen Itza on Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula. Each of the four sides of the temple has 91 stairs that, when combined with the temple platform on top, add up to 365, signifying completeness, life, and the progression of time.
