A limited-edition journal that commemorates the 75th anniversary of The Glass House and the historic restoration of the Brick House designed by Philip Johnson. The journal is crafted from the remaining fabric of Fortuny’s Piumette pink, aquamarine, and gold, which currently adorns the Brick House walls and offers a tangible moment of design history.
A portion of the sales from these journals will be donated to the National Trust for Historic Preservation in support of The Glass House.

How to care
Piumette
PIUMETTE, Italian for feathers, is a small-scale geometric motif of fanned-out feathers. The Persian-inspired design lauding freedom and transcendence through its connection with birds and flight is one of Mariano Fortuny’s earliest patterns.

Invented in Venice. Made in Venice
Designed with the italian touch, from start to finish. Built on the grounds of an ancient convent, the inner workings of the factory remain secret 100 years later. Our founder's will holds that the techniques used to create the iconic fabrics were never to be revealed publicly.
FORTUNY’S METHODS ARE PASSED DOWN AMONG GENERATIONS OF ARTISTS WHO CONTINUE CREATING NEW WORK WITH THE TECHNIQUES AND MACHINES FROM OUR FOUNDING.
