Drawing on the symbolism of the Tao and its origins, Fortuny’s W/S2019 The Gatekeeper features three archival patterns, each referencing a unique aspect of the Tao philosophy.

The collection is inspired by the centuries old legend of the alchemical substance that was believed could transform common metals into precious ones. Painters do it with canvas, poets do it with words, we do it with cloth.
