Linea
Charcoal & silver on polar grey texture
5954
A complete reinvention of Fortuny’s MALMAISON stripe pattern, the varying line widths evoke rhythm and movement, creating a three-dimensional effect.
LINEA turns the stripe into a study of its own form. By varying the widths of each line across the repeat, an optical sensation of a three-dimensional relief on a flat surface is created. This is the logic of Op Art applied to interior textile: precise, restrained, and quietly hypnotic at scale. Its small repeat makes it technically one of the most versatile textiles in the ARMONIA collection — performing equally on tightly upholstered seating, on walls where the eye naturally travels vertically, and on drapery where the varying stripe widths create subtle movement in motion. Ideal for interiors that value proportion and architectural clarity.
Part of the ARMONIA collection, designed in collaboration with Chahan Minassian.

Invented in Venice. Made in Venice
Designed with the italian touch, from start to finish. Built on the grounds of an ancient convent, the inner workings of the factory remain secret 100 years later. Our founder's will holds that the techniques used to create the iconic fabrics were never to be revealed publicly.
FORTUNY’S METHODS ARE PASSED DOWN AMONG GENERATIONS OF ARTISTS WHO CONTINUE CREATING NEW WORK WITH THE TECHNIQUES AND MACHINES FROM OUR FOUNDING.
