This modern interpretation of tribal patterns was inspired by Central American designs from Mariano Fortuny’s textile collection. The checkerboard grid of hatched lines features alternating pyramidal forms drawn from traditional shapes and designs. The densely patterned field of elemental, archetypal motifs reflects the natural world -- mountains, rivers, rays of light, plant life -- of these ancient peoples.

Invented in Venice. Made in Venice
Designed with the italian touch, from start to finish. Built on the grounds of an ancient convent, the inner workings of the factory remain secret 100 years later. Our founder's will holds that the techniques used to create the iconic fabrics were never to be revealed publicly.
FORTUNY’S METHODS ARE PASSED DOWN AMONG GENERATIONS OF ARTISTS WHO CONTINUE CREATING NEW WORK WITH THE TECHNIQUES AND MACHINES FROM OUR FOUNDING.
