Nembo
Storm blue & silver texture
5980
NEMBO (Italian for nimbus) was developed from photographs of dramatic cumulonimbus clouds rising over the Giudecca Canal, directly above Fortuny's historic factory. Its pattern explores shadow and light through an interplay of lines of varying densities with a half-drop repeat to expand its organic feel when used in larger scale installations like walls and curtains. On drapery, the cloud-like movement of the design amplifies the fabric's natural fall. On walls, it creates an immersive atmospheric depth that reads differently with changing light and season. NEMBO is the collection's quietest fabric and its most spatially ambitious.
Part of the SEREÑUS collection, Fortuny's last of the first 100 years of production on the Giudecca.

Invented in Venice. Made in Venice
Designed with the italian touch, from start to finish. Built on the grounds of an ancient convent, the inner workings of the factory remain secret 100 years later. Our founder's will holds that the techniques used to create the iconic fabrics were never to be revealed publicly.
FORTUNY’S METHODS ARE PASSED DOWN AMONG GENERATIONS OF ARTISTS WHO CONTINUE CREATING NEW WORK WITH THE TECHNIQUES AND MACHINES FROM OUR FOUNDING.
