Like an intricately designed gate, SPAGNOLO winds across the field, tangled in vines and leafy tendrils while supporting a lush, seemingly mid-bloom pomegranate motif. The 17th-century Spanish design, created early in Mariano Fortuny’s career, pays tribute to his motherland and the city of his birth, Granada, Spanish for pomegranate.
