With profound gratitude and excitement, we are lighting candles for an extraordinary celebration: a century since the first Fortuny fabric was created in our factory on the island of Giudecca. A vibrant home of artistic expression and pursuit, our factory has now been in operation for over 100 years.
Inside the factory today, a new generation of work unfolds with techniques and machines from our founding, the knowledge passed down from hand to hand for more than a century continuing to infuse our work with a soul. If these walls could speak, we can only imagine the stories they would tell.
As we welcome a new century, we celebrate our founder’s abiding love of art and alchemy, and affirm our mission to bring beauty into the world. The next hundred years have only just begun.
