It’s almost Memorial Day, marking the unofficial start to summer, and we could not be more ready for the barbecues, dips in the pool, and trips to the beach – our Fortuny cooler in tow, of course.
Until then, these summery fabrics remind us of soothing, blue waves and the beaming, yellow sun, holding us over while NYC remains staunch (for now) in its grey gloom.
Nuvole is based on a design from Mariano Fortuny’s archives and was released for the first time on Fortuny fabric in 2012. In Italian, nuvole means “clouds.”
Named for the Venetian scallop shell, Canestrelli is a 16th century design with Persian influence.
Below is our Onde pattern, which means “waves” in Italian and which is where we’d like to be, floating atop with a summer cocktail in hand.
